Testosterone propionate, sold under the trade names Testoviron and others, is an androgen and anabolic steroid (AAS) drug used primarily to treat low testosterone levels in men. First developed in the late 1930s, anabolic male steroids (AAS) have been used since the 1950s to enhance athletic performance, male physical attractiveness, and improve body image in both sexes. Athletes use AAS to increase strength and fat loss, and in some cases to improve physical appearance. Thus, AAS increased the weight, fat loss mass, muscle size and strength training of healthy men who received 600 mg of testosterone per week for 10 weeks.
